GLODERM SEED

Supporting Emerging Education in Dermatology

This is a funding opportunity for emerging dermatology residency programmes to advance and support initiatives to increase access to dermatological care and training in underserved communities.

We are offering funding up to USD $20,000 per programme (including any overheads or indirect institute costs) to support you in building and maintaining the foundations of a new or recently launched training programme.

The main purpose of the SEED Grant is:

  • To initiate, develop, and expand early-stage dermatology residency and training programmes in resource-limited settings.
  • To support emerging training programmes that have launched, with the first residents enrolled, less than six (6) years ago.
  • To provide essential educational opportunities to develop the next generation of dermatologists.
Do I have to be part of the SEED Network to apply for the grant?

No – the SEED Grant is an opportunity for any programme that meets our eligibility criteria to apply!

For eligible applicants that apply for the grant, and are not already part of the SEED Network, we will automatically include you within the network to join our online sessions and receive guidance from like-minded individuals (regardless of the outcome of your grant application)

What if my residency programme has not launched yet?

If you have a dermatology residency programme starting within the next 6-months, then you are eligible to apply for this grant.

If you have no specific plans within this upcoming year – you will not be eligible to apply for this grant on this occasion – however, please do contact us at info@gloderm.org to see if you are eligible to join the SEED Network to support your endeavour to launch a new residency programme in your institute.
